The Ceti eel is a burrowing desert creature that was the only indigenous survivor of Ceti Alpha V's orbital shift. Its larva enters a host's ear and wraps around the cerebral cortex, causing extreme pain, susceptibility to suggestion, madness, and eventual death. Khan Noonien Singh used them to control Captain Terrell and Commander Chekov in 2285.
